John, I gave my Dad "The Dunne's" sign on Christmas Day. We have had the cottage for 47 years and have had a few home-made signs during that time. We have never had anything as wonderful as the two signs created for us.
My Dad was thrilled with the signs!! All of my siblings were there when he unwrapped it. All the grandchildren were there too. My Dad thought the sign was wonderful. He loved the wood. He loved the graphic of the trees. He said he thought they would be the best of all the signs posted around the lake. To say they were a hit would be an understatement.
Today I gave my boyfriend "The Bass Hole" sign. He was speechless. He has been talking about making this sign for years. Then to have unwrapped it and seen his vision before him........like I said, he was speechless. He examined it closely. He smelled it. Lol He could smell the urethane.....and he thought he could smell something else. I can't remember what he said...maybe pin seed oil??? That's not it. But at any rate he examined it closely and thought it was perfect!!!
We are going to talk about it again over the next couple of days but I think he wants the next signs to be 1ft sq. still oval. And he is thinking he would like 4 additional copies. I will confirm all of this soon.
Thanks so much for the signs for both my Dad and my boyfriend. They were a huge hit.

Well, the sign is wonderful! We couldn't wait till the end of the month to give it to her on her birthday, so when she stopped by this evening, it was sitting waiting for her.
She loves it....loves it. Doesn't care whether or not her husband will (he hasn't seen it yet), she loves it. Their cottage is truly framed by trees, and the tree motif really appealed to her. She also thinks the font is easily legible and fun (not serious, like New Times Roman).
Thanks so much..couldn't be more pleased with this purchase.
